WHAT IS THE FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER?

The Family Justice Center of Ouachita Parish (FJC) is a one-stop information and service center, located at 620 Riverside Drive in Monroe, for those seeking assistance in domestic violence situations. It is the goal of the FJC to make services more accessible to victims of domestic violence by locating together:

> Social Workers – housing, food, childcare, and job search assistance
> Clergy
> Counselors
> Medical personnel
> Civil legal assistance such as protection orders, divorce, child custody and support, and other legal matters
> Law enforcement
> Prosecutors
> Community volunteers

Individuals seeking assistance at the FJC may choose to use any or all of these services. All services are free and confidential.


SERVICES AVAILABLE AT THE FJC:
o Safety Planning
o Domestic Violence Education
o Assistance with Obtaining Protective Orders
o Counseling for Survivors of Domestic Violence and for Children Who have Witnessed Domestic Violence
o Referral to Safe, Confidential Emergency Shelters or Housing
o Legal Assistance
o Assistance with Medical Care and Prescriptions
o Child Care and Transportation while receiving services at FJC
o Food Vouchers
o Chaplin Services
o Translation Services
o Financial Empowerment
o Law Enforcement Reports
o Interviews with Assistant District Attorney

All services are free and confidential
