Mental Health Consultant for Child Care Centers

The Wellspring has immediate openings for one full time Mental Health Consultant in the Shreveport area and one part time Mental Health Consultant in the Alexandria area.  Job responsibilities include providing consultation to child care centers enrolled in the State of Louisiana’s Quality Start program, conducting seminars with staff, observing classrooms, modeling techniques, and meeting with parents.  Consultants must have the ability to conceptualize a variety of cases including challenging behavior, attachment problems, developmental delays or other mental health problems, relationship difficulties etc.  They must be accountable for all required documentation of services & contacts.

Skills:  Physical ability to visit centers, complete consultations & documentation, strong written & oral communication skills; ability to organize & manage time; flexibility to allow working w/providers’ schedules & daily operation conflicts req.

Qualifications:  Masters or Ph.D. in Counseling, Social Work, Counseling Psychology or closely related field; Appropriate licensure to practice mental health counseling is preferred.  Applicants must be license eligible in the state of LA and have specialized training in infant mental health or be able to complete training, and must be able to form working relationships w/ center staff, children, & families.

Experience:  2 yrs clinical experience w/children & adults preferred; knowledge of child development & child care practices preferred.

Reliable transportation and computer/laptop are required.

PATH Outreach Case Manager

Provides a coordinated approach for outreach to homeless individuals with behavioral health issues by searching and identifying homeless individuals on the streets, as well as in shelters and homeless programs.  Will develop and deliver service-planning and personalized case management in order to connect individuals to resources available to meet their needs.  Also provides for collaboration and communication among community partners.  Bachelor degree required in social services or related field.  Previous experience working with persons with mental illness, drug and/or alcohol addiction and other service-resistant populations. Victim Advocate/Outreach Case Manager

 Responsible for providing case management and supportive services reflective of The Wellspring mission to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence.  Also, providing increased community awareness of domestic violence and community services available.  Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, experience working with the public, and knowledge of community resources required.  Interested parties should email resumes to cmontgomery@wellspringalliance.org by Wednesday, December 17th.


Supportive Services for Veteran Families Case Manager 

The Case Manager is a member of the service team for the Veterans Services program of The Wellspring Alliance. This position maintains a caseload of households in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families grant. This includes Outreach activities in the community, completing thorough intakes and eligibility screening with referred clients, assessing housing needs and providing prompt financial assistance as needed for housing costs, and/or assisting clients to secure housing if they are homeless. The case manager actively uses Housing First and progressive engagement while interviewing and working with veteran household. In addition, the case manager enters client data into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). In collaboration with the service team, the Case Manager is responsible for developing and implementing client-defined, goal-oriented Housing Stability Plans, assessing the needs of referred households, utilizing VA and community resources to meet identified individual needs with the goal of stabilizing permanent housing in the shortest time possible. This position works closely with the Veteran Services Program Manager and provides support as requested with the overall objective to provide outstanding case management to families served by The Wellspring Alliance.  Please send resumes to dlong@wellspringalliance.org.


 Matching and Enrollment/Match Support Specialist (Case Manager) for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Louisiana

Job Purpose: This multi-role position includes processes from two functions: Matching and Enrollment and Match Support. This professional case management position is responsible for providing high-level customer service throughout the implementation of the volunteer and child enrollment and matching process, and providing match support to ensure child safety, positive impacts for youth, and constructive and satisfying relationships between children and volunteers.

Experience and Knowledge:
-Bachelor’s degree with major emphasis in social services, human resources or related field and/ or related experience
-Strong skills in public speaking, networking and public relations
-Experience working with adult and child populations
-Assessment, intake or interview experience required
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point
-Must have vehicle, valid driver’s license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums.

Client Services Advocate
To serve as an advocate for clients by coordinating and maintaining effective agency and community services. Requires good communication skills, crisis intervention skills, ability to work with individuals that are experiencing a crisis and ability to multi-task.
