In 2010, The Wellspring provided 51,871 of these and many other highly effective services to 12,744 individuals, children, and families throughout Northeast Louisiana. All 51,871 of those services were made possible by the past support of the many friends and neighbors who who became Annual Members of The Wellspring. Do these services really save lives? The persons who received the services in 2010 can answer that:
· A child matched with a Big Brother said, “I think my Big is the best thing that has happened in my life so far.”
· A transitional housing resident wrote, “I am very grateful that I am not staying on the streets. Me and my kids give thanks to The Wellspring.”
· A recipient of counseling services reported, “My therapist is the greatest. I feel that God led me here to go on with my life and be positive.”
· A resident of the domestic violence shelter said, “I felt God had placed guardian angels to protect and comfort me. The staff was so compassionate and caring.”
· A person served by the Crisis Lines replied, “I feel the services have been a blessing to me when I didn’t know what else to do. I am on the road to a better, healthier life.”
